A Prolegomenon on African Politics

The book is an introductory text on African Politics. It covers the significant aspect of the study of African politics from a precursory view of the nature of the continent before the colonial invasion, tothe invasion and colonialism of the continent, as well as the dynamics of governance in post-colonial Africa. It interrogates its scope by first exploring the general nature and attributes of African politics, colonial administrative systems, and post-colonial governance. This took into account, the demographic, political, and other features of the continent, especially hinting on those fronts, though mainly negative, that consensus has been drawn about the continent. It terminated by focusing on the dynamics and challenges of democratization in Africa.
